Can mackerel be jigged up at night with sakibi/mack rigs what if I attached a light stick to it??

Here on the left coast - Sabiki rig around the bait receiver @ night, no light stick, is often good for all the bait you want. Both Pacific mackerel and Spanish (jack) mackerel.

I used to cacth tons of tinker mackerel on trees at the canyons at night. Did not need the lightstick. They came up into the lights of the boat.
