We finally got a chance to get offshore for the first time since Gustav and Ike came rolling through. We had the pleasure of fishing next to some of Venice's best captains including Capt Eddie Berger and Capt. Hunter Caballero. We had to go long but the bait was there and the predators were there also. Our first two baits would both get inhaled at the same time and the bite would be steady for the rest of the day. All of the Tuna were 60 - 80 lbs. and were caught with 3-5 inch hardtails on 65lb. flourocarbon leaders and 6/0 Frenzy circle hooks. There were some Wahoo around and we got lucky to get one on the mono leader. It's going to be a good winter!!!
