Went out of St. Lucie and was setup on a 4 knt North drift by 8:15. Pretty stiff breeze out there but still very nice. Had a great set deployed, 1 at 50, 1 at 200 and a tip rod at 400 ft. Drift was in 1250 ft between Lake Worth and Jupiter. Just finished dinner and saw the tip rod bounce, Fed it a little and slammed it into gear and reeled like mad :reeling: . About 30 minutes later we boated this nice fat little 50" sword. First one for my boat, my second fish. First one I caught was too small . Well We pulled up and were back in by 11:00. Just finished carving him up and vacu sealing all that sweet meat. Enjoy the pics. BTW, it was a blue dyed squid w/ a purple LP light 50' away from the squid.

I was told 50- 100 ft away from the baits depending on the moon, full moon closer and new farther away. I beleive it is something to do with getting them to hunt just outside the light, the light only attracts them to the area.
