my father has this great little house in cayucos and we come down every 4th of july to spend the week. i can understand why the local love this town so much. must be hard for them to deal with the crowds invading the place on the holidays! here's a little tour of the town, a few pics from the 4th of july parade, and a few blurry shots of the fireworks. this is the house and a view of the beach from the 16th street access stairs.
no trip to cayucos is complete without breakfast at the sea shanty!
a quick side trip to morro bay, 5 miles south of cayucos.
main street, cayucos, on july 3rd.
main street, cayucos, on july 4th.
we spent the evening on the beach, sat by the fire, roasted marshmellows and watched the fireworks display.
happy 4th of july!

No one does a parade like a small town! I watched the fireworks from the beach in Ft Lauderdale, but they had nothing on this town! Happy Independence Day!
