Grander Black Marlin Released at Marlin U 2007 Trip

I have tried before to post pictures but I have always had problems and I finally got it to work so I wanted to put this up. In November 2007 I went on the Marlin Mag's Marlin University trip to the Great Barrier Reef all I can tell you is that I basically pulled a royal flush. No only did I catch 3 black marlin but my last was a fish the was a fish estimated over 1,000 and the best part about the whole thing is that I actually have excellent pictures and a video. The video that is shot is actually in HD I have the link to youtube at the bottom. I can only say great things about the Marlin U trip they have the best boats crews and tackle. The fish took me about 45 minutes to release it took a scad bait which is actually kind of a small bait for there. I can tell a 100 page story about the whole trip all I can say is if I could afford it I'd do it again.

On the trip we fished 4 guys per boat and there were 3 boats the "Allure" (Capt Biggs, Mates: Jason Holtz and "don't let go" Bo Jenengs) Release (Capt Hayden, Mates: Dave Nichols, Martin) Sea Baby ( Capt. Pete Wright mates Chirs and Chris) You are correct about the Allure I actually fished them 3 days and the other 2 boats 1 day each. Every crew was top notch, the Release caught the most fish for the week, Allure # 2 and Sea Baby the least but still did well. I'd go anywhere in the world and fish with any of those crews. They guys on the Release on the last day had a double rod hook up one about 500 the other 800 and caught both

I've fished in allot of places, I've been licensed for 20 years and have run custom boats, Vikings etc 5 out of the six mates were by far the best 5 mates I have ever seen. Bo, Jason and a few of the others are just beyond words how good they are at their job.
