Default Alutecnos Rollers vs Aftco

Gday everyone, I am having a custom rod built and builder has offered either Black and Gold Aftco Wind Ons OR a set of Alutecnos Rollers, the Gold ones. Has anyone had any experience with the Alutecnos Rollers and if so what do you think?

My personal preference is probably Aftco, but i have never used Alutecnos. If anyone has experienced either or both of these brands I'd appreciate your opinion in which you think are superior.

Not certain what your situation in Oz is regarding spare parts.... Over here you wouldn't be able to find any repair parts for Alutecnos.... Spare screws, rollers, inserts, and complete replacement guides for Aftco easily obtained here.. That's what I'd base my choice on where you are. Good luck, and let us know what you choose. I must admit, I've never seen any Alutecnos guides at all and I've been building rods for many years.

These are the best guides you can buy at any price They are aluminum cages that are tough and super light despite the size
