Default Fishing with braid, heavy mono knots

I'm looking for some advice on knots to use to tie a heavy mono leader to braid.
Also, whats a good knot for tieing heavy mono to a hook or swivel.....say 60-80lb line??

don't you just feed the mono inside the braid, loop it in and out like and glue it. works like Chinese fingers?

or skkip that knot altogether, tie the braid to an 80# spro swivel, crimp the mono to the swivel and to the hook!

For tying to a hook or swivel with mono or braid nothing beats a palomar knot, plus it is super-easy to tie once you have done it once or twice.

For tying mono to braid, use an albright knot or uni-to-uni- knot. Coat the knot with superglue to smooth out the edges.
If you are using hollow braid, you can do the "chionese handcuff" method, but you can't do that with standard braid like powerpro.

This is a quick easy knot to tie braid to mono with that my fishing buddy came up with about 15 years ago. We use a uni to tie on hooks and lures.

Outstanding knot and very easy to tie.I did test it using 150lb power pro and 150lb mono leader.I put 100lbs of weight hanging from it and it didn't break. For hooks on leader, power snell. Can't go wrong there.

The Red Phillips knot has two things that make it the best knot for braid/mono:

1. It is teeny, tiny, and will wind on through any existing guide/eye.

2. It will not fail. Ever.
