Default Alaska report from Capt Rob 5/27/2008

Well, I have been slacking on pics, but I will add some more as they come in . . .

I have been getting some quality halibut trips in and limits of ling cod every week so far, but the king salmon have not moved in in full force YET.

Here's some pics and I will add some more soon . . .

Hope all my Gulf Coast buds are doing well!

Man what I wouldnt give to take one of those butts while fishing out here in the east. Is it all bait fishing or can you jig for them?

Hey Rob,

Looks like you're wacking the 'Mongo Flounders' pretty good, post more pics when you get a chance.

We're fishing Venice this weekend and Boomer's leaving the boat there ... untill. (gas)

We'll be ready for you in Oct, hang in there.

Good to hear from you guys!

On the bait thing . . . sometimes you catch more on jigs than you do on bait, right now is one of those times . . . many Capt's can't get bit on bait right now. Too bad some don't know how to jig because it works so well at times.

Our fish have bellies full of small baits which we just can't match (i.e. we can't buy or catch it) . . . so put down the jigs and make it dance.

Tight lines and good luck everybody!

-Rob
