This is a dumb question but do all LX's have an infinite anti-reverse? I have an LX and it still allows the handle to move back about a 1/2 inch.

Avet does not use a one-way roller bearing in any of their reels to get a silent retrieve in the smaller models (HX and smaller). The SX and MX's used to have a double dog spring loaded system, but now they all have gone to the same silent system with the one very large dog like the LX has.
The small backplay in the handle is what all of the Avets with this system have because they won't incorporate a one-way bearing in their reels. I think this is a good thing because the one-ways cause a lot of trouble, especially at higher drags. See all the torium/trinidad/saltist/saltiga rebuild threads, courtesy of Alan Tani on here for more explanation. Accurate uses double one-ways, but they are still the weak link for their reels. You can't grease those kinds of bearings because they won't function properly, and if you use oil, they can dry out on you. Then comes rust/seizing, a.k.a. blown anti-reverse.
Avet has this system that has been pretty durable for me even compared to the non-silent, double dog system Penn used in the 113HN baja special, which has failed on me already.
I'm interested in knowing what's up with this guy's 6.0 LX. If it isn't the round collar spring not seated into the black washer properly, it would have to be some sort of defect I'd think. It would be interesting if it is a worn out anti-reverse because I've used several of my smaller Avets very hard and I've not had any issues there.
