Default Cannon Downrigger Problem

Bought 2 Cannon Uni-Troll 10TS last year in March. I have used them about 6 times, kingfish trolling with only 6 pound weights. Both are cracking at the pole/base. Anyone else having this problem?

Can't say that I have had that problem, but had other problems and parts that I have needed I have found online at http://www.mikesreelrepair.com/index.php.
I started out buying reel parts there and then found that he had full schematics for most downrigger and other things.
Hope this helps.

1. All the "plastic" parts are warranteed for life. Call cannon and see where to take them for repair. It's free.

2. Are you using Z-wings or similar? They put a lot more stress on the system than just a ball or pancake.

We have 8 of the TS series (what you have) and zero problems to date and these are used 100 days a year on a charter boat.

Tight lines.

No Z-wing, just 6 lb ball lead. Only used it a half a dozen times too. They are going in for warranty, just seeing if anyone else has had the same problem. These two 10TS's were probably among the very first produced, got the set about a week after they were released to the market.
