Default Gag Grouper West Coast FL

Grouper caught Sunday 35' of water NW of Anclote. At least 12-15 shorts Reds and Gags. Hooked a couple monsters but couldn't get them out of the rocks.

I fished up there (42' off the Chaz) on Saturday. Caught 2 keeper gags, 1 keeper red and a 17# kingfish that's in the smoker as I type this. LOTS of shorts.

Nice! Fishing seems to be pretty good. Can't wait to get back on the water.

The last two weekends we've hauled up 4-5 good size keeper gags anywhere from 35'-50' of water out of port Hudson. They really seem to be coming in a little earlier this year.

Got one bite all day on Saturday 20 miles west of Johns Pass (in 60 ft) , but it was a good one. 33" gag probably around 15+ lbs. Nearshore, the water was dirty and filled with grass. Grouper sashimi and grilled fillets for dinner.

Water was very clear up north we could actually see the bottom. My son able to check whether we were on good bottom by hanging over the side with a scuba mask . I think I have a new low tech fish finder.
