Default Shimano Tyrnos

Looking at going to the above reel to serve double duty for offshore trolling for wahoo, dolphin, billfish and bottom fishing occasionally for snapper and grouper. I have historically used Penn 50 Internationals for offshore and Penn 4/0's for bottom fishing. Comments on the Tyrnos for the planned usage would be appreciated. Thanks.

i have 4 of them, all single speeds(i got them before the 2 speed option)they are great reels for the money...very fast retrieve.

i trolled all last year with them then moved up to all avets this year, they now are used as 2 backup trolling rigs and 2 bottom rigs(filled these with spectra)..
when i say all last year i mean over 500 hrs offshore, they never gave us any problems...i think you will like them.
