I was out on Kona and chartered the Northern Lights back at the end of April. Capt. Kevin Nakamaru is top shelf, best charter I've ever fished, four start recommendation. Gorgeous boat too.

Good luck wherever you go, its paradise out there.

I would fish with those guys just so I can say I fished one of the greatest sportfish boats ever, 37 merritt.

I was over in Kona in June for a friends wedding...see below...you'll see all the big boys in there...

Marlin Parker, Bomboy Llanes, Kevin Hibbard, Eric Rusnack, Clay Hensley...etc etc etc...we had a great time catching spearfish and mahi...never did raise a blue in 4 days of fishing but with all that talent onboard i think the fish went running...

Clay was in Africa then Maderia now i think he's home...not 100% sure though...i'd better call him...

I fished with Captain McGrew Rice aboard the Ihu Nui in July. I was 0-3 on Marlin, including a pulled hook on an estimated 250 pound fish after about a 20 minute fight. They don't have the nicest boat in the fleet, but he and his mate worked hard and were a pleasure to fish with.

Four yellowfin, 113.5, 121, 150.5, 158. All on the "greenstick" which is a wild way to troll that defies explanation. You have to see it in person. We were not really there during Marlin season, though we tried trolling plugs for them for the first few hours with no luck.

PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send along some pictures.
