These are not my pictures. These were taken by Arron Pierce of Tuna Time Charters. I don't think most people think/know these kinds of things exist on the offshore production platforms of the Louisiana coast. Pretty cool.

Cool pics. I read an article somewhere about some enviromentalists trying to force the oil companies to completely remove old rigs off of California instead of just cutting them off. When the rigs were installed the oil companies agreed to completely remove them when they were used up but now they have turned into huge artificial reefs with millions of fish. In one study there were 100X more fish on an oil rig when compared to a natural reef. It's an interesting fight with the environmentalists against the marine bioligists. It just seems stupid to remove all of that habitat. JMHO Sorry for the hi-jack.

Captain Al Walker has been leading the charge on the issue. Why take out an artificial reef already in place while creating others at an addittional cost??

Wow nice video there. I didn't realize it was happening in the Gulf too. It seems like one of those times when common sense isn't so common.
