Default The weatherman is killing me!!!

I have a small CC and have to pick and chose my offshore days. I check sunday's weather yesterday for off south jersey and it was supposed to be prefect out, less then 2ft. So i called the boys up and got things rolling for a offshore jaunt for bonito and maybe some small tuna. Checked the weather this morning and it was the samething. Then i get home tonight after working on the boat and its gone from less then 2ft to 3 to 5ft. Can these guys ever make a report that sticks, seems like this crap happens all the time. I am workin towards getting a larger boat for offshore fishing but in general 5 footers will make it rough on most boats under 40ft.

I took a short break from watching 42020 to complain about our weather. I have made four payments on my new boat and been fishing the same number of times. Toracelli is our NOAA forecaster and it's probably better I don't know where he lives. He's calling for 1 -3s on Monday. I hope he's right.

Ramdriver.... when I lived up there, in New Jersey, I would call it the Jersey Shore forecast. Get everyone ready to have fun on the weekend, then a drastic change announced on Friday night.

I lost faith in the weather forecasting back in 1959. The weather man, stated a major stormstorm would arrive after midnight. Dumping up to 12" of snow in the area. Well, I didn't do my Latin homework. My father woke me up that morning for school. I told him that schools would be closed because of the snow. His reply, it rained all night and still is. Well, I get in class and who does Mrs. McKinny call on first....? Me..... I told her the truth why I was not prepared. She said, I hope you learned a valuable lesson. I sure did.....!

Go to a web site like "intellicast" and look at the predicted wind forecast. Anything North or Northeast is a "no go" in Jersey. West and Southwest are generally good as long as they predict 20 kts. or less.................. A friend of mine turned me on to that site and it has proven to be very accurate..............
