Capt Steve you are killing me!!! You are where I have been wanting to vacation for years. I am thinking of going there in November if I can swing it. What do you fish for in early November?

Please dont flame but I am more concerned with people who will continue to slaughter tuna (especially) and dolphin at record numbers without any care for future generations. I dont recall the sailfish being in trouble. Pictures above are becoming less and less common. I am hoping there is a reason for the kills.

Damn it if you aint going to eat the fish throw them back.

There's only a couple reasons to hang sails like that. One is to "hook" more fisherman. The other is because they get a few dollars per sails. The anglers look inexperienced enough not to know, but the Capt does. What a waste.

Capt. Josh and his associate Capt Lora at primetimeadv + Danny Osuna and his 2 brothers at Marla Sportfishing
are the 5 captains I would most recommend in PV.

And the tuna are biting right now, so if this guy isn't catching them he and his crew are bs'ing about that too to save $100 in fuel on this $1000 charter..

A Pacific sailfish sells for about $45 at the dock, so the captain and his mate made out.

But the owner now has about 80,000 potential customers on the THT crossing him off their list, and telling everyone they know about

I understand the kill Sails mentality, though I DO NOT support it. Anglers have to insist on "Sultame" (release) or else the kill is VERY common in Mexico. I've killed more then my share before finally waking up....

A release shot is more colorful anyway!

The fact that the captain killed the fish, and then posted pictures of them on a web site loaded with experienced fisherman just shows how dumb he is. Looking at the picture I feel embarrassed for them especially for the charter they obviously don't know any better and were told it's ok to kill the fish and take the picture buy the captain.

If that's the Capt or mate standing next to the sails, he don't look so happy.

Beautiful fish, and again, it's a shame.

Thats ridiculous. Sailfish should be released and gut hooking is no excuse. I also like how he has 34 albe (not made) and the best tackle for 1000lb marlin and 400lb tuna.
