Shimano Calcutta 401B ???

Anyone know if Shimano has plans to release a Calcutta 401B... it would be a left hand retrieve model. I'm currently looking at the Cardiff but really have my heart set on a Calcutta. Though the more I think of it... maybe I should just spring for the Calcutta TE 401.... only a measly $349.00

One of the finest reels I own. It could use a litte more drag. Gets tough with the 40lbers! Whats the b? I just sprung for the CTE700 Cant wait for the fish......´¯`·.¸,..·´¯`·..>-

I guess the B is just one of their model designations. As far as I know the make a Calcutta B, TE, and a TE DC. I plan to use the one I buy for live bait flounder fishing.

Its more of a surfcaster. The TE is anyways Did you look at the Penn torques yet?

i have a pair of calcutta te 300's loaded straight to the top with 30# spectra and mounted 7 foot shimano trevala's. the boat rods get passed around to anyone on board, but not these. these are mine!
