7-Striped Jetty Snapper in the shallow Salt Marsh I't been so dang cool here in Dixie (Jacksonville, Florida), I feel like Yukon Cornelius! -And have been told I look like him too!
32 degrees in the morning with a 20 knot wind.....makes it how cold?????
Of course, I don't believe in Global Warming, litterally. But rather if that's a fact, I do believe in "climate change".
IE: Making warmer places colder.
So I had to go get a fishing fix no matter how cold it was, and since there's not even any Yankee's coming south to fish, I went solo, as I usually do alot of in weather like this.
But I kept with the season (sheepshead usually bite in cold water) and instead of getting this Sheepshead.....aka: "7 Striped Jetty Snapper", at the inlets jetty rocks. I got this one up in a shallow creek, off an oyster bed on a float and live (cold but alive) shrimp.
7 pounder on the Boga.
And yes, you will not believe how shallow a 26' Aluminum boat will go with a 225 Honda on the back!!
It ain't no surf board with a kicker motor, like some of those Flats boats. But then again.....I have ball room dancing space.
This is for ya'll who don't know what a "7 striped Jetty Snapper" is, and for the others who's boats are in storage. |
