Rigolets Lake Borgne

Anyone fish this area during winter months? What do you catch? Ive been out a couple of times and caught only small specks and 2 reds (total)

This time of the year,head over to the twin spans(I-10).Troll along them with the big rattle-traps real slow.Big trout are there.Lake Borgne is not that deep,avg of 8'10'.You need to fish deep holes and slow down your fishing.On a warm front,fish cuts feeding into the lakes in the afternoons.Look for baitfish,clean water and not a ripping tide.

Were do you put in at?All of that area was my old fishing grounds years a go.Anywere from Seabrook on out to Hopedale.Maybe I can point you in the right direction,let me know!

Rigolets marina. Pay with the "honor system" Ive seen the owner boot a truck or two in the past. It is a nice back down and the canal is fairly clear of debris.
