Default Kunnan Rods

I have two Kunnan 80# rods in excellent condition, with aluminum straight butts. Since I don't fish for Bluefin or Marlin anymore they are collecting dust. Wondering what these are worth, Since Kunnan has been out of business since the fire a long time ago, and is anybody interested?

Probably not much interest since the Kunnan factory burned down in the early 90's. I've got a couple of their light tackle/live bait trolling rods that I love, but once they're gone -- they're gone.

Put them up on eBay and see what happens. Just post good pictures and a description. You occasionally will find someone looking for a specific Kunnan rod to match what he already has.

I have some Kunnan 30# and 50# that I got used a few years ago and I've never been able to find out about the company. They're nice rods, what was the story?

Kunan's were great rods - still are, although what Prop Blast says is correct about the factory, etc.

Yea, lots of guys who remember Kunan would be very interested in finding a Kunan or two.

I have the same rods, from the 80's. I have replaced the AFTCO roller guides and they are still as good as new. Sad the place burnt down, they were basically custom rods at non custom prices. For what it is worth. Capt Harry's in Miami, builds fabulous rods and also, "guarantees them for life".

Kunnan made a bunch of stuff using graphite, to include golf club shafts. The rod factory was in SC and burned down back around '91 or '93. After the insurance settlement, the company decided to not reopen the plant and got out of the rod building business, I guess they felt it was not profitable.

I will probably take my two Kunnans to Biscayne Rod Co. in Miami next year to get them "rebuilt". The blanks are great for Kings, dolphin, sails, ... Not enough backbone for trolling lures, but for live bait and flat lines, they're super.

Hi, I know this post is old but I still want to follow up on it. I would like to know if you still have your Kunnan rods. I am trying to match a set that I have and as you know they don't make these any more. Please follow up with me as to their availability and any information you may have. Thank you greatly!
