Left my house at 0400 hours with threev's dad. We were heading to Point Look Out where I had been getting reports of a wide open bite for almost four days. We arrive at Solomon's at 530 and meet up with the rest of the crew, and head to Point Look out. We were fishing on my buddy Brian's boat. We left the dock at 630 and headed south to the Smith Point area. At 8 we spotted the birds and put out the lines. Marked fish and made one pass.....BOOM! ....8 fish on. After landing all the fish one of which was close to 40 lbs, we get out the rods just in time to make another pass....this time five on including two fish on one rod, one of which was 25 lbs and the other was pushing 30. Of course I ended up reeling that pain in the ass in. Over 50 lbs of rockfish pulling in different directions. Anyway, we ended up catching two more just clearing the lines. All lines in by 830 and we were back at the dock by 1000. I'd say the bite is on fellas!!
