Default Triple Header of 250 - 288# Tuna, 2 Sails, & a 450# Black...11/25

Headed out with two excellent friends/clients today and what a day to remember...

I'll keep it short but i'll post a full report soon with all the photos...

We started off with a sailfish that hoovered a deep downrigger bait, scored the release...next up a 450# black hoovers the left rigger bait after chasing it out of the water several times...what a BITE!!! the boys opt to let me reel the beast in as they know i've never caught a marlin myself and what an amazing experience...the photos are nuts!!! (I'll try to post them later tonight) we score the release and then the highspot goes dead but we got lucky and found a massive school of bait just outside of one of the highspots...we get jackhammered by two huge tuna on the first pass through but pull the hooks on both...next a sailfish we score 4 fresh big baits next and as i'm deploying the spread all hell breaks loose...one, two, three baits go nighty night literally right off the back of the transom as we haven't even had time to put them in the clips yet...

All 3 fish are hooked solid and running like demons...we loose one after about 15 mins to broken spectra during a nasty wrap up...the two remaining fish are just dumping the 50W's and Bogi and Steve are getting their butts handed to them but are pulling back hard with everything they've got...

We nail Bogi's fish first which goes 250# and change on the scale...and Steve is left with a whole lot of work to do and a demon that has no intention of joining the welcome party waiting for it in the boat...

After some truly grueling work Steve manages to steer the fish to gaff...it has an almost fake look to it as it's girth is 60" and it's length is 75...we tape it out and the calculation puts it well over 300 but the scale doesn't lie...288.7#'s...so Steve still has a goal to beat...

What an epic day of fishing once again and let me be the first to tell you...I CANNOT WAIT TO GET UP AND GO FISHING AGAIN TOMORROW!!!!!!!!

Capt Josh,
Great report.
Do you have any openings between Christmas and New Years Eve? I will be in Mexico City that week and am trying to find a way not to spend the whole time with my inlaws.
Tight Lines,
Aubrey

Josh do you leave baits in the prop wash all the time or only when you want to get bit.

Thats a great story and awesome fish, wish I could afford it.
