Default Snook lights for the dock

I need to add some snook lights to my dock. Who makes the best?

Do the hydroglow lights work better, how about the underwater lights?

Thanks

Barker, I added a Hydroglow green light to my dock last year and it has performed flawlessly! It attracts bait better than the halogen lights I had previously. The only downfall is the light is not as intense. so you lose the ability to see the fish as well as with a brighter light, but they are there! A bit pricier than the halogen lights but I have had it operating every night for over a year and it has even been submerged during a couple of storms without any problems.

Here's what I look for in a snook light, from a night hunter's perspective... I'm always looking for a light that's over at least three or four feet of water by a dock that has a noticeable current going by... The light has to be on every night for months at a time, not just occasionally, and it has to provide a noticeable "green circle" of light that attracts bait, no matter what type of light source. The best lights draw fish that you can see in the light from 70 or more feet away....

I opted for the low end illumination, a $6 yard type spot light aimed at the water. I worked great, and it is loads of fun to watch the snook, shrimp, bait, etc. swiming into the light. Here is the downside. If you use your light on a regular basis, be prepared to have lures, hooks, dead mullet, braid, mono, weights, boats, and the occassional unwanted fisherman anywhere on your property within about 50 feet of the light. If you have anything that is fragile or of value, make sure it is way away from the light, because it is going to be the unintended target of the unskilled caster. If your boat is near the light, you will be awakened by the sound of all of the above bouncing off the side of your boat. My solution was to put the light on at dusk, go watch the fish before bed and turn the light off. I also did not put the light on every night.

I will have to agree with the under water light. We have one at our house in FL and when it is on the fish are there. we have several other lights at the dock but there are always more snook when the under water light is on and it is the only light we have had tarpon and goliath under. Plus it looks cool as hell from the house.
