Re: Snook lights for the dock I opted for the low end illumination, a $6 yard type spot light aimed at the water. I worked great, and it is loads of fun to watch the snook, shrimp, bait, etc. swiming into the light. Here is the downside. If you use your light on a regular basis, be prepared to have lures, hooks, dead mullet, braid, mono, weights, boats, and the occassional unwanted fisherman anywhere on your property within about 50 feet of the light. If you have anything that is fragile or of value, make sure it is way away from the light, because it is going to be the unintended target of the unskilled caster. If your boat is near the light, you will be awakened by the sound of all of the above bouncing off the side of your boat. My solution was to put the light on at dusk, go watch the fish before bed and turn the light off. I also did not put the light on every night.
