Andy,
I just installed the replacement Permatrim on my F115. The install went great after I was able to get around the 5200 I used during the initial install.
When you and I figured out that the initial hydrofoil was not the one specific to the F115 I honestly did not expect you to help me out, nor did I think you should be obligated to. I thought that once I put holes in it and layed a bead of 5200 all over it it was mine to do with as I please. I fully expected to pay for the replacement, but you generously offered to replace the hydrofoil with the one specific to the F115 to insure a better fit.
I received the new one yesterday and installed it tonight. The fit is much better. This is not the first time you have helped me out. A couple of months ago you worked with me until I found the best prop for my application. I cant say enough about your customer service. You will certainly get more of my business in the future..................thanks again!!
I also found a method during this install that allowed me to keep the hydrofoil square. I clamped the hydrofoil in place and eyeballed it (I am sure everybody does this). I then ran monofiliment from one of the small holes (used in the powder coating process) just below the ventalation plate and then around the front vertical edge of the lower unit. I then ran the line just under the plate on the opposite side and to the second powder coating hole. I then just used the monofiliment as a guide. Once I had equal spacing (side to side) and angles under the plate and the hydrofoil, using the mono as the reference markers, I knew I was square.
PS. The old hydrofoil is on its way to you.
Thanks again Andy
