Default F225 Yam Prop

I currently have a prop marked 15x17 on my 2003 parker 25SE. I easily turn 6000 RPM's with half a tank of gas on calm water and trimmed out. Can't get better than 40 MPH out of the boat. Would putting a Ballistic 14.5x 19 increase the speed, or would it be pretty much the same because I'm losing some diameter while gaining pitch? Your thoughts... Thanks in advance...

Default RE: F225 Yam Prop

Brian,

If you have that prop it will not hurt to give it a try. I am not familar with Ballictic (michigan wheel?). The only thing I can tell you for sure is that if your current prop is a Yamaha I would try the 19p SW series. Or try a Merc Mirage 19. Both props are real similar and style and performance.....size for size.

I think if you are loaded(gear, fuel, people) your current prop isperforming pretty well for a F225 on a 25ft Parker...... which is not a real light weight boat to begin with. 40 mph on a 25ft boat with a single F225.......no bad numbers imho.
