Default rigging question...?

hi Andy,
i wanted to see if you could answer a question for me. if i replace my 1987 90 hp yammie with a 2001 115hp, can i use the same rigging equiptment(tach , tilt gauge, throttle cables, etc...) ? i have the yammie 704 controls already and am hoping i could just "swap it out" .i believe i would also have to add the oil tank as well. any help ????? i may throw this out to the main site as well.
thanks...
Dennis

Default RE: rigging question...?

Dennis,

For the most part everything will work. How old is your current tach? Is it Yamaha?

Who's trim gauge are you using?

The engine control and control cables will be the same.*

If its 1987 Vintage*I would suggest the Yamaha Multi funtion tach kit as an upgrade. This will give you the trim gauge, hour meter, trim-oil harness.*$290.00 for the kit.*

Andy

Default RE: rigging question...?

Andy,
ok, the current setup is all factory yamaha tach(analog), trim gauge , fuel, etc.. also, the tach contains the oil level warning lights( green yello red). i am try'n to just keep it as simple as possible for this summer and i can tackle the upgrades later... hoping to be able to just swap 'em out, is there any hope?
