Default How to pick 4 blade prop size???????

Never had a 4 blade SS prop before, but a friend is ravving about his.

Engine: 2003 Yamaha 200 HPDI on a 2500 lb. 23' MayCraft CC.

Carries: up to 5 people, when chartered. and lots of gear, ice etc.

Don't care about high speeds over 4000 RPM's, I never go that fast with customers anyhow.

Short runs to fishing, waters from flat to very rough & choppy.

I have a S.S. 3 blade now, do you need to know it's size?

Cause I don't exactly know what it is (double, DOH!) But I can look.
It's the one the dealer gave me and it seems to work fine, I get 4900 rpms out of it max. though but I suppose I could I get even better performance (??)

What do ya do to figure which 4 blade size and pitch to get and/or try?

Any help would be helpful.

Because you're treading on hallowed ground. There are as many opinions as there are props......... Compare your "load" to your friends "load" see what prop he is running and adjust accordingly. Vague I'll admit but without more info (hull type, weight, engine type & HP, "normal" loaded weight, etc. etc) it would be difficult to say much.......................
