How did this test end up? I've got the doelfins installed and I'm wondering if an upgrade is possible. If you replied via another thread let me know where to look...thanks for your help as always.

bej,

We got the 2670 GB rigged with engines but never got to launch it because of the early ice situation by us this year.

My test will have to wait until April or sooner if I sell it in a warmer climate.

There were a couple of posts from another GB owner that swears by them. They are a much better looking and better built piece then the Doel Fins are. A have a customer in New York with a 2670 Gb that also swears by them. I have been told by him that they offer a higher and more fuel efficent cruise speed and a 2 mph increase in top speed.

I'd be most interested in a controlled test situation such as one of your rigs with doelfins and then with this product. I'm wondering if the others are really comparing the permatrim to no fin at all??? Let's hope you have a short winter and you can fill in the details...

lefty,

Amen on the short winter. It got down to -6 last night.

I plan on doing sea-trials on a 2670 with Yamaha F150's. First test with no fins, then install the Doel fins and then the Permatrims. I also will take note of how the boat handles with all three.

Wish I had some of your Texas weather right now.

Andy, for us it is cold down here. We got into the 30s only 5 hours from Mexico. I'm going to have to move even further South...

Your test plan sounds great! Can't wait for the results.
