Default HELP! Taking CARB cover off to FOG!

Andy,

I am going to fog my 2001 115/2 Yama this week and have noticed there is that "cover" (not the cowling - but the OTHER one) over the carbs.

If I take the 6 screws out (front) and pull it off, is there anything else that MUST come off or apart to get DIRECT access to the carbs for fogging? It's a little hard to tell from looking at it?

Is there a filter inside that I should replace/clean/etc., or any gasket that will come off when I take the cover off that should be replaced? Is the gasket (I assume there IS one?) a "seal-type" fit or is there some adhesive needed to put it back on with?

Thanks for your help and I will try to add some pics later tonight.

Regards,

Bruce,

There*may be a rubber gasket on each carb*and a couple of smaller hoses that will need to be disconnected to remove it. Pretty simple.

No air filters to replace or clean. The gaskets are re-useable. Just make sure they go on correctly when installing the box.

Looks like the electric choke is*bolted on the cover....that will have to be removed as well.

Good luck,

Andy

Bruce,

Picture #2......the black cylinder shaped thingeee....... near the top right. When you hit the choke that solenoid activates and pulls a lever up that is connected to the choke plates on the carbs.
