Default boat mounted oil tank filter

Andy:

Do I need to do anything special when changing the boat mounted oil tank filter. Just cut zips, remove filter, replace filter and rezip? Any priming issues. Will oil leak out or should/can I clamp the oil line(s). Any special tricks?

Thanks

I just did this the other day. I was told to clamp the hoses, but thought they felt awful firm and that clamping them may have cracked them so I chose not to. Just work fast as oil WILL leak out as soon as you remove the ends.
