Default 150/175 Mercury 4 Stroke???

Have you heard or what's the scoop on Merc. coming with a 4 stroke 150/175 to compete with Yammy and Bomb and Honda?

I have a Merc 125 Saltwater on my Trophy so I was wanting to stay Merc so as not to have to convert all controls over to either Yam or Honda. Boat is rated for the 175 but the 150 would work as well.

Thanks,
John

In Aggreement,

Sorry for not replying........I have not heard about any Merc 150 4-stroke. Since there is no love anymore between Yamaha and Merc, Merc is probably in the design phase of new engines to replace all the ones that bought from Yamaha........I dont know its just a guess.

If I hear something I will post it!

Andy

I'm pretty sure the Honda engines can use Mercury controls.

Thanks gf,,,,I'll look into it.

Andy, I knew Yam and Merc did the split, just was curious about a mid size 4-stroke Merc.
