Default Thermostat Help, Please

OK, so maybe I'm not as good as I thought. I went to swap out the thermostats on my F225 and although I could see the housing, I couldn't get the plastic intake covers off. I'm sure I was either missing a bolt or two or maybe I was making it harder than necessary.

Any tips here? Pictures would be great if anyone has them. A How-To perhaps?

And, by the way, I had a devil of a time reinstalling the rubber gaskets on the four internal anodes. Any tips with those?

Mellow,

Of course you take the two bolts off the cover. There is no fabricpaper gasket on that cover so it should pop off. Sometimes you will need to get a little jiggy with it

(EDIT) We have one in the repair shop right now and I will get Lisa to bring her diggy camera down to take a few pics.

Gotta a skinny pick device for the grommets?

Andy

Hmmmm I may be looking in the incorrect place.

As I look at the starboard side of the engine while on the ground, I can see the gray housing in the upper right, towards the front of the engine. Looks to be two 10mm bolts. If that's it then the black intake tubes cover the area and prevent me from gaining access. The problem is getting that intake cover off.

Yes, pics would be GREATLY appreciated!

No to the pick thing.
