Upgrade Yamaha Gauge To Fuel Management - The Hull Truth

Hello Andy,

I woud like to upgrade my Gauges to the Fuel Mgmt. I am not sure what system would be right for my setup.

Single F 250 TXR 6P2X 1006551

The 6Y8-83500-11-00 would look good for a replacement of my present Gauge

Please see the attached picture. Also only room for the two Gauges

It looks like the only meaning full thing I would loos from my present gauge is the Batt. Voltage.

I am a little concerned about the statment "Surface mount only" also is the sending unit includet?

Pleasesteer me in the right direction. Also eventualy I will take thisprocect over to the Striper forum ak. (Flatfish)

Well..........there are a few different options that you have and of course it all depends on how much you want to spend. Since your engine is a program year 2006 it is Command Link compatible. I can send you a pdf file that explains everything that it is capable of doing. You would be basically replacing the current two gauges with two CL gauges. One tach and one speedofm gauge. Cl provides much much more info that I can post. Reading the brochure or going online here http://www.yamaha-motor.com/outboard...nk/page01.aspxwill give you a better idea. You would want the square CL gauges. Installation is fairly easy if you have some mechanical ability. The instruction guides are well written and you have me to fall back on as well [img]../images/emoticons/biggrin.gif[/img]

The other option is replacing your current MF speedo with the new Yamaha MF speedofuel management gauge. The kit is all inclusive. Here is a picture of that gauge..
