Default Bumping threads - no more than once per week!

In fairness to everyone, we have had to impose a new rule on bumping, because while everyone would like to have their ad the top of the first page, it is not fair to other members. We also have had people bumping several ads at a time.

So: Henceforth, the rule is that you may not bump a thread/ad more than once per week (ie. 7 days) between the date of the last post (your's or other's posts). Bumping includes moving the thread to the top by statements such as "all orders shipped, PM sent, bump, TTT, thank you, or other bump-like posts, etc." Having friends post in your ad for the puspose of moving the ad to the top will also not be tolerated, and will be considered the same as bumps.

Continual bumping, or bump-like posts will result in your ad being pulled/removed from public view for a day or 2, or more, depending on the number of bumps, bump-like posts, etc."

10-4. I apologize if we have violated this rule. We will make sure we stay within the guidelines from here on out!

Thanks,
Bryan

how is this a new rule? there has been a 'NO' bumping rule in effect for years (it's posted on a different sticky). i guess you mean you're just going to enforce it...kinda? and once/day?? how about never? or at the most, once/month? once/day? that's ridiculous.

Disregard just found the area where I turned on emails for PM's

I always put PM sent when I send a PM so the OP gets an email to let them know. In my dealing on here I have gotten multiple PM's when selling something but never get an email stating that I have one.

Because for those of us that rely on generated business, it was DISASTROUS.

Sales dropped by 90 %.

I would like to see a SPONSOR section in addition to the regular section and that would help stem some of the issues from the "block" bumping.

You do a new post that says "bump" or some such

Every new post "bumps" the thread to the top.

Flodesign, are you being sarcastic??? Or do you simply get round it by adding new posts? Your ad is always on the first page....

Dude, very poor taste to come on someone else's thread and promoting your item for sale.
