Default FS: Airmar M260 1KW transducer for Raymarine DSM

I have a working Airmar M260 with Raymarine P/N E66049. $450 Delivered in Continental US.

This unit was used with a Raymarine DSM250, and worked very, very well.

This style M260 has been successfully converted to a transom mount using the housing bolts that normally hold the tank lid on.

The unit is clean and shown no marks or damage to the element case.

If you are currently using a 600w single element trasducer (P66 for example), "you will defiantly improve your sonar parameters (sic) by going up to a multielement 1 kw transducer.

If you go to a B164 you will improve by 6 times sensitivity over the B744.
A Tm 258 is 25 times more sensitive.
The M260 or Tm 260 is 50 times more sensitive"

A great opportunity to own the best of the Pulse Transducer lineup!

Notes:

  • It does NOT come with a tank.
  • There is also a splice in the line using an Airmar junction box. This Junction box was on the unit when it was working and shows no signs of internal corrosion.
  • The connector has been removed (not a problem if used with the GSD24, you have to remove the connector anyway). The connector will be included, it merely needs to be spliced on.
  • Cable is full length except for the cut connector (about 6", included).

For anyone who may want to transom mount this transducer, check out this ad:

http://www.thehulltruth.com/parts-fo...som-mount.html

He is selling a mount that would convet this into a transom mount transducer. Pair the two up for less than retail on a TM260.

I've updated the description to clarify that this unit is NOT compatible with the Garmin GSD24. Apparently Raymarine uses a unique "Sense" technology that Garmin doesn't support, and the transducer won't power on without it.

It WILL work with any Raymarine DSM sounder module.

This is a great opportunity to affordably upgrade your transducer.

All offers welcome.
