Default 2000 Evinrude - momentary oil & check engine light. =?

Not sure what to check: my 2000 Evinrude 225 had the diagnostic lights lite up ever so briefly.

Coming up on plane, I heard warning buzzer and out of corner of my eye I first saw the oil light and then the check engine light come on. By the time my eyes got to it, they were out. I also "think" I saw the volt meter drop and tach jump, but not sure.

Later in day, idling along and same thing happened - twice. Didn't even last a second - it was that fast. Still not sure about tach & voltmeter fluctuate. Motor never even hicupped.

Afterwards, that motor had a tad bit more black stuff around exhaust that other motor (which was cleaner than usual), but nothing out of the ordinary.

I checked every connection in the power distribution panel - all good - zero corrosion.

Glitch? Something loose? Check ......? Sensor. . . . .?
Any advice is appreciated

Also - do you all work on these Evinrudes? Be nice to know a shop that has competent techs for these in case service is needed. Would be a big deal at all to tow down knowing I'd get professional service.

Have you had any loss of power as of rpm's? In reference to your tachometer you need to check your regulator rectifier , make sure all battery connections are clean and tight and are you still running your VRO oil tank? Yes we are more than qualified to service these engines. You should check out our web site .http://www.outboardclinic.com Ill try and get a hold of some costumers to see if i can find you a good service place around your neck of the woods.

Boat runs great - no loss.
Batt connections all tight, but I'll recheck
VRO oil tank - yes and check it out - = fine

Still not sure if I saw the tach or volt jump - I "think" so, but not sure cause this "condition" didn't last even a second.

More info - First the bottom oil light comes on w/ beep and then the check engine light comes on. Then goes out - very quickly and at no wake speeds - thus no bumping or bouncing.
