What are the differences between the Onslow Bay 20 and the Southern Skimmer? Same Hull but different console and configuration? What is the story around the Southern Skimmer as it pertains to Onslow Bay?

For a short period of time, we leased our 20 mold out to Southern Skimmer.

That pretty much is it, I think OB was working to get their new 32'CC ready for release and building 23T's, Southern skimmer is near by and a friend so they took over the 20 Hull for a period of time. same hull the one we have looks great, This has some differences then the OB 20 due to the Owner wanted a very speicific layout for SW light tackle and Flyfishing to be easier. He specifically wanted the boat to made with out a liner which has advantages for the way he planned to fish it, it gives you a tremedous amount of extra space by not haveing the liner. You really need to see the boat in person to see how much room it has, We couldn't beleive it when we saw it in person. the whole bow is wide open with no big up lifted areas with compartments for storeage or to sit on. Since he wanted it for bluefin jiggin and plugging out of Cape Cod he wanted the bow wide open and the whole deck surface is all on the same level. to me it makes it a great fishing boat, with room for several guys. He also does alot of SW flyfishing for Stripers, blues, and albies. It makes the boat lighter and faster as well as a bit more economical, I'm not sure of the exact weight differnce but the 150 Suzuki 4-stroke will push ours to 50 mph cruise is rated at about 30 mph with a 5mpg fuel burn with the 80g tank that gives youa ton of range. With the liner you get alot more storeage, fish boxes in the deck, and other compartments, which if you prefer that and the lifted bow decks for seating, then that is the main differnece I see. I think the liner version is a more family friendly set-up, and the version we have is more of a hardcore fishermens boat or even would be a great work boat since it has so much room. To us we like the wide open space it has a cooler under the leaning post and a cooler in front of the consele. which is plenty. If we plannd to keep some bigger fish we have a insulated fish bag for that. or it has tons of space to carry a large cooler in the bow we could use as an extra seat. They're both excellent boats on the same hull, I think Brad Knight's center console designs are second to none.weither it be the 20,23T or 32, I hope to some day once our situation improves can buy a 23T sometime in the future,I would have no problem running that boat to the Canyons off the NE on a nice day. This boat we're selling does give someone the opportunity to own an extremely nice boat at a great price,
