Default Adding UW lights on a 47' Riviera

I'm looking to add UW lights on my boat and the local vendors in Kemah Texas are pushing Sea Vision. I was hoping to go with LED. Can you point me to someone in Texas? I was looking for a quote for 2-3 3010's on the stern and 1 flush mount 3010 on each side. I've also toyed with the idea of using 2 4010's on the stern and 3010's on the sides. I emailed this question via your website last week, but no answer from that yet.

I called the support line this afternoon and spoke with someone from India. I think that experience will have me looking back to Sea Vision. This forum does not appear to be monitored by the vendor, so that doesn't give me a warm feeling about support if needed!!!!!

For dealers in Texas, please see the link below to our online dealer map for current dealers in the Texas:

http://www.oceanled.com/dealer_locat...on=US&state=TX

Since you have a Riviera, I would recommend looking at SeaWorthy Marine in Fulton, since they are a Riviera and Cabo dealer, and have lots of experience fitting our products to boats. Namely the 3010 model.

With regards to your questions on lights, my recommendation would be to use at least (3) 3010 lights accross the transom. Whilst (2) lights on the transom will look very good, I do not believe it will give you the coverage you are looking for. Since you would like to add Flush-Mount lights to the sides of the boat I think you are trying to achieve the wrap around halo effect. If you were to put (3) lights accross the transom, you would not get the dark sports in between and would have a much unbroken light effect.

There are no issues with mixing 3010's and 4010's configuration on the boat, however I still think that sticking with (3) 3010's as opposed to (2) 4010's purely to get the better area of light around the boat. True you will not get as greater distance with the 3010 as with the 4010's, but I think you will be happier with the results. Unless of course you went with (3) 4010's!

For the Flush-Mounts on the sides of the boat, you have the option of choosing different lens options. We currently have in stock what is called a 180 degree lens option. This lens has been slightly sandblasted so the light coming out of the fixture is diffused. This means the beam of the light is more widely spread, resulting in fewer dark spots between the lights which are commonly seen with lights that illuminated in a 90 degree cone pattern. These lights on the sides with the 180 degree lens will help achieve the halo effect.

If you decide to stick with the SeaVision line, I believe the light installed as standard in the Australia manufacturing facility is the 50watt HID Xenon fixture; a very good and reliable unit.

As I stated in a previous thread, we have had some issues with the website and email servers, so questions put through the website have not been getting through and are unrecoverable. This has all been sorted out now so any questions put through the site shall be delivered correctly and will be answered immediately upon receipt.

Finally with regards to calls, I would like to re-iterate that all calls put through to OceanLED terminate either here in Fort Lauderdale, FL, or our UK manufacturing facility in the UK. We do not outsource any part of our company outside these countries and if any calls do terminate in Asia, you have not got the right company information.

For reference our office number in the US is: (954)-523-2250

Our office hours are Mopnday-Friday 8.30am-5.00pm. Calls outside these times will be picked up by our answering manchine and will be responded to immediately upon their receipt.
