anyone know where there are pogies north of the cape?besides boston +salem harbors?

We caught about 10 keepers on live Pogies off MV last weekend and would love to know if they're working on the North Shore too...

yea, they're working just fine. now, if I could only find some. there were a bunch in Salem harbor till everyone on earth started netting them, daily.checked a few spots in boston haba' last night ,where they always are--- .they aren't always there anymore. got 1, any Ideas?

WHen you find the school, whats the best way to put them in the boat? I tried differrent lures and and jigs, couldn't put any in the boat though.

If you don't have a casting net, try snagging them with a weighted treble hook.

we just baited up some weighted trebles with a little calamari and really slammed the hooks once you felt the tap. We caught lots of fish fast like that.

Pogies are filter feeders - don't try to catch them on a baited hook - either cast net, or snag on a big treble w/ an inline weight for casting as suggested above.
