Default R I Airshow

I am planning on heading to the airshow this coming weekend. This will be my first time going by boat. For those that have gone in the past, where are the best places to anchor? How crowded does it get? Do I need to arrive extra early to get a spot to anchor? Thanks for any help

Forecast looks great for Sat. The USGC and NK harbor master will keep you 1/4mile outside forming a safe zone/parameter. Wind looks like it will be coming out of the North @ 5-8mph. Best spot is outside NK Town Beach near the MV Ferry. 9-10am will assure you a great spot.

I should be there somewhere Saturday. Phoenix J. Grady White Sailfish with liferaft on roof. First time for me as well. I'll be leaving out of Point Judith and trying to get there for 10:00.

Looks like I'll be there Sunday too. Heading over from Newport. Been there years ago with my old boat, it used to happen in late June.

I'd rather the show was in late June, as it was in previous years. That's one of the days the Admiral usually gets aboard. Temps this weekend will be too cold for her. Oh well, guess I'll just have to fish instead.

If you run over this Saturday you're not going to see much, show was this past weekend.

Yea - I see that now! The thread popped up as new and I didn't look at the dates. Geez its early these days. I've been in PJ for quite a few years and I was always in the water for it. Next year and thanks!

At least it would have been a good boating day!
