Any Upstate NY boaters here around the Finger Lakes. - The Hull Truth

In addition to five other forums, I've been around The Hull Truth for a couple of years now- -probably the best site among the five. Any ways, I don't come over the Northeast forum that often but when I do I always look for boaters in my neighborhood: Skaneateles Lake (one of the Finger Lakes west of Syracuse). I know of one, Mumberlone, on this forum who is on Skaneateles but I haven't waved him down yet (always got poles in the water) on the lake to introduce myself yet. So how about it Upstate boaters where you from around here?

I'm originally from the finger lakes area but live in NH now. When I was younger we fished Keuka/Canisius/the smaller lakes often. Seneca and Canadagua once in a while. I try to make it back there to fish at least once a year. My Dad and I will go out on Keuka and jig swedish pimples for lakers.

Wife and I went to Syracuse U.-School of Architecture. First job was in Skaneateles 21 years ago. Still remember sitting lakeside during lunch. What a beautiful spot!

Took a dinner cruise on your lake a few years ago (1978). Loved the area, but not the weather!

I'm from Rochester but currently living in NJ. We're going to try and get up to the Finger Lakes some time this year to do some fishing.

Thanks to all who replied. To the poster who went to SU's School of Arch., I to am an alum (VPA) in addition to being a native of Skaneateles and Camillus (western burb). First time in 4 years we've had a pretty snowless winter for a city that wins the title of the most snowiest- -no complaints but if my snowblower could talk.... The itch is on to get the boat out of the garage and get back on the water as much as possible this season- -man, why didn't I take up a teaching career. If you get into our scenic part of the world anytime soon, shoot me a message or post to this thread and I'll buy the beer. Happy boating.
