I went to the Providence show a few years back , seemed to be geared more towards fresh water boats. Is it still that way?

they had one last year at Gillette Stadium as well. It was actually in the practice bubble.
Providence has gotten better but still not as large as Boston.

Prov. was pretty decent. Much better than the Hartford show.

Heck anything boating or fishing related gets my interest once the boats put away and sleeping for the winter.

Last year they filled two buildings. It was pretty good. Definitely not geared to fresh water. Seemed to me that there was a very high proportion of people there who were actually interested in buying stuff as opposed to just kicking tires. Boston was OK too, but I didn't like the layout as much as Providence. Hartford will be interesting this Jan. because of the new convention center. Hope they pull it off.

Let's see... NYC, Providence, Hartford and then Boston. Gonna almost be time to launch after that!

Steve, it keeps on going into March now too, with the new "Massachusetts Boat Show" at the Gillette Stadium Fieldhouse. http://www.macevents.com/mabt.cfm?se...6&catname=Boat

Last year was the first year and I went on the final day to check it out. I was impressed since some of the dealers and vendors who can't get booths at the Boston show were there as well as some of the smaller dealers having bigger booths. I'm hoping to have a booth there this year.

I'm doing the Springfield Boat Show the week before. How busy is the Gillette show??? May be interested in getting a booth at that one too.

The Gillette show was fairly well attended on the final day last year. I don't know numbers though. Contact Mac Events, maybe they have stats. The first day was a washout apparently with really bad weather. I was told fewer than 500 people came through the show. That's for the first day of a brand new show though.

I filled out the form for info from MAC events. I'm also going to contact one of the dealers that was at last years show and ask him how it went.
