Well since you started this thread I will jump right on in it, I just shrink wrapped my luhrs today and over the weekend while I was makeing the long winter to-do list I found two cracks in my aluminum marlin tower right abover the electronics box, so like you I need a good tig welder to come to my house and weld up my pipes.I think I remember a Tower fabricator at the Tobay boat show, I will try and find there number and let you know.If anyone has any sugestions, feel free to jump right in.
Gregg

Gregg- I've got a great shop that did some unbelievable work on my boat-while still in the water! I'm going to find out of they will go to Oakdakle since their shop is in Copiague. I'm assuming your house is in Oakdale, right?

Big E its in coram at my house. I know that south shore custom towers used to be in Farmingdale on route 109 but I dont think they are there anymore and I tried to look up a # for them and they arent listed anymore. I was hopeing that I could get someone over to the house ans take some measurements before I covered it. I called Whitewater in sayville yesterday and they gave me the # of the guy they use so I'm going to give him a call I'm not sure if he just does repaires or does fabrication as well

Yeah, I know about South Shore. I think he sold/closed down. A friend of mine was looking to have them do something on his old Seaswirl, but we couldn't find them either about a year ago.

The shop I have in mind is run by 2 sisters (yes, girls!) who learned the biz from their dad. They are like artists. They can fabricate, but I seem to recollect that they weren't thrilled with stainless work since it is more brittle and needs some real careful processing.

OK I spoke with them. Stainless steel addons are defintely welcome by them, they just prefer not to do a whole tower. Their forte is mods and repairs and they are good. They also handle shrink wrapping and hauling. Coram and Oakdale are no problem.

Anytime! I hope either works out for you. The girls are in a warehouse building just east of the Copiague Town water tower. I'm sure you know where it is!
