Default Anyone planning to move boat south for winter?

Anyone with any serious plans to move thier boats south for the winter?? How do you plan to get it there and what areas are you looking at?? 2 winters ago I broght mine down to Savannah GA, this past winter I kept it on the Hard. It cost me almost same to keep it on land as it did to bring it south so I'm planning to go south again...make the most of my money pit. It also breaks up the winter nicely going south every few weeks.

I like that idea too. how do you get the boat down there and what's the availability of dockage down there? Is it worth having a boat hauler ship a 20' cc down, I just cant do that drive from Mass.

I have a ford f350 diesel can tow a just about anything, I will be heading down south from mass to south carolina in late october possibly early november to do some work on my house. I would be willing to tow your boat and drop it off anywhere as far south as the florida /georgia border/.The cost would be gas expenses plus 200.

One way gas expenses would approximately be 4-5 hundred . I have my own boat which i tow on a regular basis, and i have towed my own boat many of times to key west and back .

If interested let me know

Hey CBP..there are tons of places from Georgia all the way down to the keys. Prices start int he 10$ a foot range and go all the way up to $40 a foot in miami. Miami dade marinas have over a one year wait to get into them..I know, I'm on the list. I don't know what your plan would be but it's most beneficial if you have a live aboard..fly down monthly and spend 4-5 days in your floating money pit.

Orlandino...while your offer is most attractive the fear of an accident and lack of proper insurance and all other related paper work would scare the bejesus out of me. Not to say anything negative would happen but you never know with murphys law looming by.
