I'm out of Green Harbor myself and will be working on the boat Sat. and Sun. in a desparate attempt to get at some of those cod myself. Last year at this time I had some good luck about 3 miles east of the red "pine Island bouy". It's about 2 miles north of saquish light and a mile off shore. There is a large rise from about 100' to 80' there. It shows on the chart.
Let us know how you do. Maybe we can hook up in a couple of weeks when my boat is ready.
I fished yesterday out of marshfield green harbor 25.5 mile run to east of middle bank large number of boats head boats as well as sport fishers and some center consoles. It was a3-5 foot east swell with a 1.5 chop going was slow heading out to the fishing grounds 16 knots i run a 23 maritme patriot. once on hte spot the fishing was slow we moved around a lot then starting hiting the fish in about 198 -177 feet . We originally started at 240 then 203 and finally nailed them in 198-177. productive day with 5-10 pound cod and 3-5 pound haddock. mostly on clams and few on jigs
