32 BHM is a stout little work boat, really big, Deep 32 footer, 35 duffy is a bit more streamlined and draws a few inches less than the 32 BHM. you will get better performance out of the 35 speedwise.
Most 32 BHMs are gonna be set up for working, Ill keep an eye out. what is your budget? looking for a yacht or workboat?

If you are going to use it as a charter or recreational boat, the Duffy is a nicer boat.

35 duffy is said to be hands down the best downeast hull out there. spent a lot of time on a 31 and been on a 35 a few times. unbelievable ride in slop. sits like a duck. pay attention to engines as well though. you dont want to pay for someone elses headache.

check out unclehenrys.com and midcoastyacht.com. they have a lot.

I think Imight have seen yours here.I spend most trips running from Boston Harbor(Winthrop) to Wildcat Knoll,Tillies and Eastern Stellwagen so I need to cruise at 20-22 kts .

Yup She won't cruse at that. That would be WOT if everything is perfect. I might as well tell you since it has been offered to another person. If you repower I'll buy the tamd41 and gear back for $5,000 if it is done right away. One of the advantages of buying something low priced is you can change it to the way you want. I personaly like Volvo best but the 6068 is a great engine and repair track record is probably the best for a American engine. Cummings has somne great aplications for Duffy's too.

the 36 northern bay is a far superior hull to the 35 duffy...although the 35 is a great boat the 36 carries its beam all the way back...making it a superior sea boat

The 35 duffy is amoung the first boats designed to be boat great work boats and have recreational benifits. It was also designed to benifit from power. For the most part, prior designs had hull speeds. It really didn't matter what you put in for HP, they didn't gain speed. The 35 duffy was winning the worlds fastest lobsterboat races diesel case when it first came out. I think that was a 375 cat 3208. Back then mid 30s took that class. It just goes to show how the duffy will be a timeless design for a all purpose boat. It can do a little bit of everything well. As a lobsterman, I have the need to have the boat go slow too. It does that well. You go fast guys should concider this when you need speeds to troll , idle through canals 5mph ot less , even docking. Its though to try to dock when your slow idle speed is 6 mph.
