Default Looking for a commercial boat

A buddy of mine is looking for a 50+ ft dragger or commercial vessel. Ideally steel but a decent glass or wood boat would be considered.
Location is not important but running power is. I know that there are quite a few boats in our harbors that are for sale but not advertized so if anyone knows of a decent vessel let me know,
Thanks,
John C.

Im sure if you get out there and hit the bricks between Gloucester and New Bedford there are dozens of what you are looking for but are'nt advertised. You could also try calling on places like Rose's in Gloucester,Mitchel in New Bedford and ask ,they'll help.

Considering he has alot of permits and is a great fisherman I would say so. Someones gotta feed the country fresh seafood right? Hes got bills to pay just like you. That TJason would look great with a Stern rig and pump motor on deck.

We know most of the local vessels that are for sale. and have been looking on all the commercial brokerage sites from here to Alabama. Word of mouth can go a long way though. there are alot of harbors between here and say Barneget inlet.

Didn't mean any offense, but it's like when you see someone walking into a burning building like they are just going to work. It makes you stop and think, hmmmm.

But I'm sure this is the time to buy. It could be a very shrewd move if you have the cash and find the right deal.

Stern rig and pump motor eh? Hmmmm.

Guess they suck at catching fish then. Not that it matters but the boat will be used to pump sea clams.

to all my mommys out there:
my freind and I understand fishing is hard work, we watch the discovery channel too
if you do not know of a vessel for sale please do not respond. he has a boat fishing and wants to upgrade, this is nothing new to either of us.he is looking for a better boat, Imagine that?

Funny you say that. I ran two Surf clam Boats for four years. I will pass your comment onto the Montauk and Shinnecock fleet. Let us know the name of your new dredge boat. I would like to meet you both.

Look in Jersey.
