Default Mono to Braided

What knot would you recommend for 50 lb braided to a top shot of 25 lb mono?

Red phillips if short top shot and casting. Alternative is bristol knot to bimini loop in braid, especially for jigging or trolling. Finally, a loop to loop with a wind on.

Slim beauty if you are in a hurry...PR knot if you have the equipment, knowlege and are on dry land (at least thats where I have to be when I tie one).

Triple surgeons... I can tie it blind folded, in the dark, on a rocking boat, in high wind.... and once you tug on it, it either slips immediately (because I messed it up despite my bragging above) or never fails me.

I would be more concerned with the super glue coming in contact with the mono, some super glues and rubber cement contain acetone that will soften plastics and when dry can chafe the mono.

Reverse Albright...not my knot creation...It's tied at The Hook Up in Orleans (stop in and ask for Danny) and has worked very well for me.

You can never go wrong with a 30 turn Albright (braid over top) with the mono finished using an improved 7 turn clinch knot.

Try the alberto knot, it is a modified Albright.
