Noreaster claims a couple boats in Plymouth Harbor
Earlier, I drove down to check things out and found the harbor full to the top of the boat ramp at high tide and a couple of boats gone down. The wind was howling and water splashing over the top of the Jetty. However, it wasn't enought to slow down the guy who was out kite surfing (I think thats what they call it) in front of Nelson Park.
Just swung by there a few minutes ago and grabbed a couple of photos.

My parker had an agreed upon policy value for almost twice what I sold it for. I can only imagine the temptations for some people to look away for a while, especially those from ny/nj....
It does suck though if you really liked/wanted the boat. Kind of like a house fire.

It does suck though if you like boats, even if you do not like your current one.... However, insurance companies do not like to pay out. I only know a few people I know who have lost a boat, but they ALL were dropped by their current insurers afterward. Then, had a very difficult to impossible time getting a new policy. One couldn't get insurance at all. So, needless to say they did not end up with better boats.
Ahh well, I didn't let my boat sink, so it's a moot point. As far as I know it's on the hard waiting for the new owners trailer to arrive. I wish them the best of luck with her, she served me well.
