Default Deep divers bft

When catching a tuna on a deep diver has anyone had them hit the middle hook? I was thinking of removing it cause at high speed trolls the middle hook rubs on the body and wears out the color.

I've taken the middle hook off all the divers. It doesn't seem to effect the action and releasing a fish is much easier.

Just curious, are you running single hooks on your divers or trebles. Most of what we get here in Australia come fitted with trebles but I retro fit mine with singles. Our BFT here off Perth are only small Southern Bluefin, top end of the scale would be around 20lb. have a much better hookup rate and better on the fish if we are going to release them...

Remove the middle hook and upgrade the hook and split ring on the tail hook. The stock hook - ring combination is not that strong...

yeah get rid of the belly hook, if your gonna release the fish, makes it nice to grab the body of the lure, good handle to have
